Emilia Miechowicz

Emilia Miechowicz – violist. She received her Bachelor’s degree with a very good grade at the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdansk, where she continues her education at Master’s Level under the supervision of prof. Dr hab. Irena Albrecht and ad. Dr Krzysztof Komendarek – Tymendorf. Apart from her studies she continuously improves her skills by taking part in numerous Workshops and courses – the most noteworthy are those conducted by among others: Ewa Guzowska, Lech Bałaban, Hans Joachim Greiner, Máté Szűcs, Daphne Gerling, Tasso Adamopoulos, Maxim Puryzhinskiy.

She is an active concert performer, serving as leader in the Academic Chamber Orchestra „Camerata Gedania”, as well as in the BalticAlians Chamber Orchestra, with which she made her solo debut in May 2019 at the Patio of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk. She has a special love for chamber Music performances including the 4Clouds Piano Quartett, with which she plays recitals on Tricity Stages and also takes part in polish and international competitions. She has performed chamber Music with such artists as: Jakub Jakowicz, Christian Elliott, Łukasz Błaszczyk, Thanos Adamopoulos,
Tomasz Tomaszewski, Robert Kabara, Robert Kwiatkowski, Karolina Piątkowska-Nowicka and Conductors: George Tchitchinadze, Zygmunt Rychert or Adi Bar.

In June 2019, playing in a duet she won the 2nd prize and a special prize for the most interesting Interpretation of the piece „Lament” by F. Bridge at the 5th Baltic Sea String Duets Competition. She Won a distinction at the OPUS 2020 International Music Competition and 2nd prize at the VI Odin International Music Online Competition 2021. She also took part in the recording of the two-disc live CD album „Stanisław Moniuszko – Straszny dwór”, which was nominated for the prestigious polish Music award FRYDERYK 2019.
