Jan Szczypiorski – born 1999 in Gdańsk. He graduated in 2018 from The Feliks Nowowiejski Music School in Gdańsk in violin class taught by Paula Preuss PhD. Currently, he is a student at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk in the masterclass of Prof. Wojciech Szlachcikowski and Paula Preuss PhD.
He played in many orchestras with world class conductor such us: Rune Bergmann, Martin Lentz, Adrián Varela, Johannes Zahn, Adam Sztaba, Maciej Tomasiewicz and George Tchitchinadze.
He won 2nd prize with orchestra „BATUTA CONTRO IL RESTO”, at the 1st String Orchestras Competition in Bydgoszcz. In 2017 he was the recipient of the Polish Youth Orchestra LYO scholarship. He also participated in the “International Youth Symphony Orchestra” in Bremen. In 2019 he participated in the 7th edition of “International Lutosławski Youth Orchestra” project, at the Szczecin Philharmonic. He was a member of “Neue Philharmonie München” since 2020. He continuously improves his skills by taking part in many violin courses taught by world class violinists such as prof. Maciej Rakowski (Royal College of Music), Krzysztof Polonek PhD (1st Concertmaster of Berliner Philharmoniker).
